Bluegrass Technician to perform 2 cuts on a 14" (outside diameter) x 1-3/4" wall pipe above water.
Bluegrass will provide core drilling services in the support of SGRP N-1 outage scheduled for August 2012.
Working from a DP vessel, Bluegrass technicians made multiple cuts on 33" diameter legs at an average depth of eighty-five feet. Average cut time was one and a half hours per cut with each cut requiring the use of a single wire.

Bluegrass technicians will diamond wire saw forty feet deep notch from side of lock for new bulkhead slots to expand lock chamber.
Waterford Nuclear Generating Station: Bluegrass to design, fabricate and deploy special equipment and diamond wires to dry cut structural components to provide access to remove the Steam Generators during the Waterford 3 RVCH and Steam Generator Replacement Project. Bluegrass technicians re-cut the slot in a Tennessee dam. Total square feet of concrete cut was approximately three thousand feet.

Bluegrass performed a technology demonstration of the Marcrist MSW300 Wall Concrete Shaver, mounted to a remotely operated Brokk 250, as part of the FIU-HCET technology assessment program. Six hundred feet of uncoated concrete walls, coated concrete ceilings and coated brick walls were removed at 1/4" depths.
The steam generators were to be removed and replaced through the containment dome. Bluegrass, using four robotic hammers around-the-clock, broke two large openings through the 3’ thick concrete with 3 layers of #18 rebar on 12” centers, while maintaining the integrity of the containment liner plate.

Bluegrass technicians diamond wire sawed two cuts at an elevation of forty feet within one foot of each other. The cuts were made in a vertical duct that is a nine feet diameter pipe with one inch thick steel and one foot of refractory.

Bluegrass diamond wire cut a 250’ tall concrete ventilation stack located directly adjacent to the spent fuel storage area. Bluegrass cut the stack into ring sections of specified length, while working from a moveable, elevated platform. All cooling water was contained and recycled during the cutting process due to contamination potential.

Bluegrass technicians dismantled three piers, including two hammerhead piers, at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Interstate 10 west of downtown Houston at elevations up to seventy feet. Four vertical cuts, two per cap were forty-nine square feet with twenty-two #14 bars and fifteen #8 bars. There were four cuts on the columns, which were fifty-six square feet each that have fifty-four #18 bars each. The remaining straddle bent required two vertical cuts sixty square feet each and consisted of forty-four #14 bars each and twelve #11 bars. The two seven feet diameter columns (34.5 sq/ft) were cut once under cap. Total cutting was estimated to be at six hundred seventy-seven square feet.

LIFT GATE REPLACEMENT
Bluegrass technicians diamond wire sawed 4’ square by 56’ vertical section, which required drilling a battered 56’ deep wire access hole and cut 56’ by 4’ twice per six areas then horizontally cut six times to section for rigging to allow for new lift gate slot equipment and new concrete.
Used 8 robotic hammers to break 600 cubid yards of concrete foundations in 4 days for roll mill upgrade.
