MOTIVA
Bluegrass technicians scheduled to provide cutting services for segmenting compressor foundation. Foundation measures 39’6” by 17’ at 8’6”, which will be cut horizontally at elevation 112’4” with five vertical cuts. Total cutting is estimated at 1,394 square feet.

Bluegrass technicians competed multiple cuts at an average depth of one hundred twenty five feet. Each cut required the use of a single wire.

WG YATES

ARKANSAS NUCLEAR STATION
Two 120-ton condensers were split in half so that four 60-ton sections could be removed. The diamond wire cut through 27,000 inconel tubes, steel pipes, and steel baffle plates.
AUBURN UNIVERSITY
Bluegrass technicians wire sawed three, twenty-five feet by six feet diameter steel encased caissons then segmented into thirds. Twenty-four core samples were then taken from each for experimental testing at Auburn University. One of the three concrete caissons will be utilized and extend eighty feet deep to support the new bridge.

American Civil Constructors
Bluegrass technicians diamond wire sawed eleven, railroad bridge piers with horizontal cuts. After segmenting piers, the pieces were slid out underneath existing bridge for removal on Lake Pend Oreille with the railroad track remaining in place. BRIDGE OF LIONS
Provided personnel and equipment to diamond wire saw fourteen piers and two bascules.
BRILLIANT DAM
Bluegrass technicians wire sawed a notch from nine piers which required eight feet deep wire access holes. The removed blocks were thirteen tons each and required one vertical and one horizontal cut per pier.

Performed segmentation of bridge columns for removal.
CLINTON MEMORIAL BRIDGE
Wiresawed 14 piers and drilled nearly 300 core holes for anchor bolts, removing 121 cubic yards of concrete.
CY TEST CUTTING
Bluegrass diamond wire cut the carbon steel reactor nozzle mock-up. The nozzle was 55” in diameter with a 28” annulus.
DC COOK NUCLEAR
Bluegrass provided around-the-clock diamond wire cutting in support of SGRP. The entire 3’ thick roof sections, over four steam generators and enclosure walls, were diamond wire cut into 18, 15-ton sections and removed.
DH BLATTNER
Performed diamond wire sawing to segment (2) 6' diameter piers in less than an hour on a railroad bridge.

Bluegrass technicians dismantled mooring dolphin in large sections utilizing diamond wire saws with all cuts taking place above the water line. An estimated 1,000 square feet was cut.

FIU
Bluegrass performed a technology demonstration of the Marcrist MSW300 Wall Concrete Shaver, mounted to a remotely operated Brokk 250, as part of the FIU-HCET technology assessment program. Six hundred feet of uncoated concrete walls, coated concrete ceilings and coated brick walls were removed at 1/4" depths.
GINNA
The steam generators were to be removed and replaced through the containment dome. Bluegrass, using four robotic hammers around-the-clock, broke two large openings through the 3’ thick concrete with 3 layers of #18 rebar on 12” centers, while maintaining the integrity of the containment liner plate.

Diamond wire sawing of a section of the AUX Building Rail Road Bay Concrete Wall; 17'x3'7"x1'4" thick; Diamond wire sawed 12" off the top of existing man-way.

HOLT DAM
Turnkey removal of discharge ring for turbine and generator upgrade. Provided diamond wire sawing, robotic hammering, and core drilling for concrete removal.
HUMBOLDT PLANT
Bluegrass diamond wire cut a 250’ tall concrete ventilation stack located directly adjacent to the spent fuel storage area. Bluegrass cut the stack into ring sections of specified length, while working from a moveable, elevated platform. All cooling water was contained and recycled during the cutting process due to contamination potential.
I-10 BRIDGE REMOVAL
WILLIAMS BROTHERS/TEXAS DOT
Bluegrass technicians dismantled three piers, including two hammerhead piers, at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Interstate 10 west of downtown Houston at elevations up to seventy feet. Four vertical cuts, two per cap were forty-nine square feet with twenty-two #14 bars and fifteen #8 bars. There were four cuts on the columns, which were fifty-six square feet each that have fifty-four #18 bars each. The remaining straddle bent required two vertical cuts sixty square feet each and consisted of forty-four #14 bars each and twelve #11 bars. The two seven feet diameter columns (34.5 sq/ft) were cut once under cap. Total cutting was estimated to be at six hundred seventy-seven square feet.
I-45, PIERCE ELEVATED BRIDGE
Pierce Elevated Bridge- Diamond wire sawed 100s of columns in downtown Houston for new bridge utilizing 3-4 saws dialy.
