Robotic Hammering

Innovative technology born of 30 years of controlled demolition experience has made Bluegrass a leader in demolition techniques that use robotic hammering. More often than not, these large projects require an overall understanding of non-explosive demolition techniques which allow us to effectively and efficiently plan for known and unforeseen obstacles. Robotic hammering is just one of the many demolition techniques that we've perfected over the years in the lab and in the trenches.

Combining Demolition Technologies

Complex demolition projects require complex planning of every detail so all goals are successful met. Bluegrass controlled demolition contractors are experts at using a variety of tools and demolition techniques to get every project they work on done right and done on time. For example, robotic hammering, flat sawing and diamond wire sawing technologies were used to remove 1,800 cubic yards of concrete at a vacant steel mill in Memphis, Tennessee.

Job: Removal of 1,800 cubic yards of concrete in vacant steel mill refurbishing. Problem: Dismantle concrete stands, remove large concrete sections from the electric furnace foundation and retrofit existing concrete structure. Demolition techniques had to work around existing structures during hot weather conditions. Solution: Bluegrass used proven demolition techniques and a combination of controlled demolition technologies, including brokk robotic hammering and diamond wire sawing, to successfully plan and execute the concrete removal. It took four concrete cutting contractors 2,800 man hours and three months, using several concrete demolition techniques to complete the job without incident on time and on budget.

Superior Demolition Techniques

Robotic hammering is often more efficient than using jack hammers, which means projects are more likely to be completed within time deadlines and budget constraints. Bluegrass uses robotic hammers when projects require small footprints and surgical precision. In some cases, robotic hammering demolition techniques can be just as precise and might be more efficient than diamond wire sawing. Each situation is different. Bluegrass controlled demolition contractors are experts at knowing which tool is right for each job.
